Lay down the lines. You run and support the striping machine on parking lots, roadways and new construction across Austin and Central Texas, setting out the layout and keeping the work square, straight and compliant.

What you will do

  • Set out and measure layout for parking stalls, ADA spaces, arrows, crosswalks and legends.
  • Run and support the striping machine, keeping a clean line and a consistent mil thickness.
  • Mask, protect and clean the surface before paint goes down.
  • Set cones, signs and traffic control so the crew and the public are safe.
  • Load out, clean and maintain equipment at the end of a shift.

What you need

  • Reliable transportation to the Austin yard and a willingness to travel to job sites across Central Texas.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in Texas heat and on your feet all day.
  • Able to lift and carry equipment and materials repeatedly through a shift.
  • Able to follow a layout drawing and a spec exactly.

Helpful to have

  • Previous striping, paving or road construction experience.
  • Familiarity with ADA parking layout requirements.
  • Traffic control or flagger certification.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish.
