Cliff Schoen started paving and repairing streets in his hometown of Toledo, Ohio, and taught the trade to his son-in-law, Bob Wheeler.

1946
The Jennite Company
Bob opened the Jennite Company, which quickly became Toledo's preferred paving and sealing contractor, setting the standard for high-quality work, competitive prices and excellent customer service. Jennite still upholds those values today.

Early 1970s
Jack joins the crew
Bob's son Jack joined the Ohio crew, where he learned the trade and the importance of reliability and dedication.

1982
Wheeler Coatings comes to Texas
Jack brought those values and his knowledge to Texas, founding Wheeler Coatings in Austin. He ran it into the early 2000s while teaching his son Tyler everything he knew.

Stripe-It-Up
Tyler founded Stripe-It-Up in Austin, continuing the legacy of reliable asphalt paving, repair and maintenance. Stripe-It-Up is committed to delivering only the best for all its customers, and is here to stay.
